In response to the latest attacks against Mexican migrant workers by a gang of eight white terrorists who beat, and possibly lynched and murdered a Mexican worker in the fields of Carmel Valley, Mexicanos Unidos en Defensa del Pueblo, La Escuela Popular Rogelio Favela, the Committee Against Police Brutality, the Front Lines of Struggle Coalition and La Resistencia call for a weekend of resistance in defense of Mexican and Latino people.--- 1. Saturday, July 22nd:

Del Mar Heights will turn into Black Mountain Road. Demonstration will be on the side of the road at address above.
When – 5 p.m. to Nightfall
Press Conference at 7 p.m.
Migrant workers and Representatives of various grass-roots organizations will give statements on the current attacks. Objectives:
We are calling for…- A thorough investigation.
- Prosecution of these white terrorist gang youths.
- Media stop protecting these white youth and recognize them as members of a terrorist gang.
- Police to document violent white youth as terrorist gang members. NOTE: Terrorist gang members, not just gang members (the same way they document Mexican, African and other people of color).
- Police and the courts to put forth an injunction in the Carmel Valley area. An injuction exactly like that which is in place in many Mexican, Latino, African and other communities of color which will not allow more than two documented “terrorist gang members” to be together in public, and also takes away all the other constitutional rights which this type of injunction takes away from that designated area.
- The campesinos to unite, organize and defend themselves.
- A working committee which will see these objectives met.
If anybody can volunteer for security, please get in touch with Ricardo.
