US Border Patrol riots in Calexico

About 100 US Border Patrol agents attacked 40 pro-immigrant demonstrators with batons, pellet guns and pepper spray at the fence that separates Calexico in the US and Mexicali in Mexico. The attack happened Sunday in the border cities that are about 120 miles east of San Diego, California.

The confrontation occurred at the end of a weeklong protest against the fence that is separating families and against the militarization of the border. Dozen of protesters were injured, suffering bruises, welts and gashes. Demonstrators said medical treatment was denied to those who were arrested. The unprovoked attack on the peaceful protestors was caught on the following video tape:
