Los Angeles, Alta California - September 22, 2005 - (ACN) President Bush, a recovering alcoholic, has "fallen off the wagon" again according to First Lady Laura Bush in comments made on on Disney owned KABC Radio in Los Angeles this morning. Apparently, a series of major problems that have fallen on the shoulders of the president recently have caused the "Commander in Chief" to pick up the whiskey once more. The fact that Bush Jr's popularity is at the lowest, according to political polls, does not help the president to maintain his sobriety. This in combination with the recent Katrina fiasco, being hounded by grieving mother Cindy Sheehan who's son was needlessly killed in Iraq and the impending Hurricane Rita about to hit his home state of Texas is just too much for George Bush to take. The rising rate of US troop casualties in Iraq at the hands of determined insurgents is not helping much either.

George Bush has a history of drunk-driving arrests followed by 10 years of out-of-control drinking. He also exhibits the classic symptoms of an "alcoholic" which is denying he has a problem. "Well, I don't think I had an addiction," Bush told the Washington Post in a July 1999 interview. "You know it's hard for me to say. I've had friends who were, you know, very addicted. . .and they required hitting bottom to start going to Alcoholics Anonymous(AA). I don't think that was my case."

Bush, it is reported, stopped drinking on his own in 1986. George's out of control drinking, a liking for what he calls the "Four Bs:- beer, bourbon and B&B", led to his 1976 driving-under-the-influence arrest in Kennebunkport, Maine.

George Bush Jr. also has a history of bad behavior while drunk. Some of his embarrassing behaviors according to the Washington Post are:

1. Walking up to Wall Street Journal reporter Al Hunt in a Mexican restaurant in 1986, calling him a "f---ing son of a bitch," then threatening Hunt for predicting Jack Kemp would beat his dad for the GOP presidential nomination in 1986.

2. Getting drunk when he was 26, then smashing the family car into a trash can. When Bush Sr. confronted him, Bush called him out for a fight.

Others who know Bush Jr. tell similar stories. In a book titled "Revenge of the Bush Dynasty", Elizabeth Mitchell, writes about George getting drunk at a cocktail party and asking an older woman, "So, what's sex like after fifty, anyway?"

Bush was visibly First Lady Laura Bush told the Washington Post in the July 1999 interview that George had unsuccessfully tried to cut back or quit drinking for a year before he finally gave it up. Today we hear the bad news that the president has again picked up the bottle.

George has actually confessed to his alcoholism. In his autobiography he writes, "I am a person who enjoys life, and for years, I enjoyed having a few drinks. But gradually, drinking began to compete with my energy". Bush continues, "I'd be a step slower getting up. My daily runs seemed harder after a few too many drinks the night before".

Bush Jr. also wrote about an embarrassing incident at the annual 3 day golf tournament at the Midland Country Club in Texas. The golf tournament, George wrote, was advertised as "72 hours of open bar." The tournament includes a yearly costume party, and Bush says that one year he dressed as Mahatma Gandhi. Bush writes, "My friends allege that the toga (used to mimic Gandhi)...looked like a diaper by the end of the night."
