Possible Anti-Immigrant
Killer(s) on the LooseBy

La Voz de AztlanLos Angeles, Alta California - October 4, 2002 - The random killings of five persons in Montgomery County, Maryland yesterday are eerily similar to the shooting carnage that took place within a 20-mile range through suburbs surrounding Pittsburgh on April 28, 2000. In this massacre, anti-immigrant bigot Richard Scott Baumhammers went on a racially motivated rampage and fatally shot a person of Indian descent at an Indian grocery store, two employees at a Chinese restaurant, and a black man at a martial arts school. Baumhammers had spent days before his two-county shooting rampage trying to recruit members for a right-wing, anti-immigrant political party.
Anti-immigrant sentiments have turned very ugly in the U.S. ever since September 11 and through the constant hate rhetoric from people like Congressman Tom Tancredo of Colorado and Jewish Defense League member Glenn Spencer. Spencer leads a vehement racist anti-immigrant group called American Patrol. Glenn Spencer in addition has allied himself with vigilante ranchers from Arizona that have advocated "hunting down" Mexicans immigrant workers crossing the US/Mexico border. At a meeting between Spencer's group and the vigilante ranchers led by vile Roger (El Asesino) Barnett in Sierra Vista, Arizona a proposal to place military anti-personnel land mines along routes that immigrants take was made.
Police authorities of Montgomery County have said that they presently have no clues as to who the killer or killers may be. Montgomery County, which is just north of Washington D.C., has recently experienced increased ethnic and racial conflicts because of its rapidly changing ethnic demographics. Police said race did not seem to be a motive. "We're across the board in genders and ethnic backgrounds," police spokeswoman Nancy Demme said. Unless more pictures are made available of the victims, La Voz de Aztlan is not buying it.
Let us analyse the information release so far on the five victims. One of the victims was an immigrant from El Salvador. Sarah Ramos, 34, was sitting on a bench when the killer took aim and fired one shot that went straight through her head. She had just gotten off the bus and was waiting for her ride.
Another was an immigrant from Bombay, India. Premkumar Walekar, a 54-year cab driver, was putting gas in his cab when the expert marksman felled him with a single shot.
The third victim was a 25 year old Latina. Lori Rivera was vacuuming her car at a filling station when a single shot killed her.
The fourth victim was a Latino looking gardener. Sonny Buchanan was mowing a customer's lawn when he was killed with a single shot. Sonny Buchanan was first identified as "Hispanic" by Montgomery County Police Chief Charles Moose.
The true ethnic background of the fifth and last victim is not clear. James D. Martin, a 55-year-old federal employee, has been identified as a "Diversity Coordinator" at his job.
For obvious reasons, we believe that the authorities and mainstream media are refraining from making the above connections. Incidents of immigrant massacres in the US are not new. Mexican immigrants have been the most frequent targets. In 1984 in the border town of San Ysidro, California, James Oliver Huberty put on military fatigues one morning, grabbed an assault rifle and told his wife, "Society's had their chance. I'm going hunting. Hunting humans." He then went to the local McDonald's Restaurant and massacred 22 Mexicans, many of them children.
