Arizona vigilante hunters of human beings like Roger Barnett have forced Mexican migrants to take more and more perilous paths in the hot arid Arizona desert. It is believed that Barnett is part of a US government sanctioned
terrorist effort designed to deter Mexican migrants from crossing the border.
Sasabe, Arizona (June 20, 2000) - In the early morning hours of Friday May 12, 2000 Mexican migrant Miguel Palafox was shot by two Anglos on horseback a few miles inside US territory from the border town of Sasabe, Arizona. The bullet entered in the middle of his upper back and exited near his ear tearing off most of his face. Mexican police and medical authorities stated that the projectile
may have come from an M-16 military rifle.
"There is a time when the operation of the machine
becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart,

and you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels,
upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop.
