"Fear" against "Freedom"

La Voz de AztlanLos Angeles, Alta California - October 1, 2001 (ACN) Many of you are too young to remember the incredible "fear" that was part and parcel of American life in the middle 1950's which generated a building frenzy of "nuclear bomb shelters" under every home. The "fear" was instigated by not only the military-industrial complex but also by a host of corporations and businesses that made fabulous fortunes capitalizing on the "fear" of countless gullible Americans. Back then the "boogie man" was Nikita Khrushchev and Russian Communism and today it's Osama bin Laden and Islamic Fundamentalism.
It turned out that the U.S.S.R was only a "paper tiger". Today's new boogie man has so far only been a picture of a bearded Saudi in a highly publicized "Wanted Poster". Instead of rushing to build "bomb shelters", the American people are today rushing to purchase "gas masks" and stocking up on antibiotics, not to defend against an atomic explosion but against a supposedly planned bin Laden "fumigation" of Americans using anthrax. This new "Terrorism War" smells a little too much like the old "Cold War" and it looks like it is being pushed by the very same elements that have in the past benefited from the lucrative arms industry and by the politicians that they are able to purchase.
As a young Engineer, I worked in the defense industry and this gave me a unique perspective of the collusion that exists between TRW, Northrop, Lockheed , Rockwell, their shareholders, the military and corrupt politicians. Everyone here benefits from the perpetuation of "wars". If there are none, they will create some. Back then the practice of "double dipping" was very common. Double dipping was the practice of high level military personnel to also hold very high salaried positions with the big corporations in the arms industry. Many of these "positions" were fictitious and existed only on paper. It was also a common practice for military personnel to retire early because they would have very "peachy" jobs waiting for them in the same corporations they passed multi-billion defense contracts to. This military-industrial complex works closely with the Zionist dominated media and specially with Israel and their Israeli Defense Forces. It is a historical fact that these elements often create a "crisis" on purpose in order to justify not only their existence but also to scare the American public thus allowing them to create the "environment" in which they can profit immensely and at the same time "crush" any criticisms concerning their evil machinations. We see classic sign of these in the current crisis. The "jury" is still out on the verdict as to who is truly responsible for the attacks on the WTC and the Pentagon. As with the raid on Pearl Harbor which took the U.S. Pacific Fleet by surprise, some historians believe that back in Washington, the Roosevelt administration was fully aware of the coming onslaught.
Those who really rule the United States are a sneaky lot and they have a "bag of dirty tricks" that would be the envy of Niccolo Machiavelli. We are now hearing that Bush Sr. is presently doing some "oil" business with the bin Laden family and that Salem bin Laden, Osama's brother, met a mysterious death when his plane crashed in Texas soon after a business meeting with George Bush. In addition, facts are unfolding that the real motive for attacking the Taliban, is to install a friendly "puppet regime" that will allow U.S.A. petroleum interests to construct the much sought after gas and oil pipelines from Turkestan through Afghanistan to a harbor in Pakistan.
Meanwhile here in the states, the government is using "fear" to attack and make war against our freedom. President Bush Jr. has been able to get a "carte blanche" on anything he wants from our useless congress which reacts rather than lead with intelligence. Many of these "Condit" types are the most corrupt in the history of this country. It does not matter if they are Republicans or Democrats, they are the same. This two-party dictatorship is, however, only a facade that covers up those who are really calling the shots. If only we "followed the money", we will be shocked to learn who is pulling the strings on these puppets.
Already, Bush and Ashcroft are railroading a so called "anti-terrorist package" through congress that will strip some of our most cherished freedoms that were won through spilt blood by our revolutionary soldiers against King George of England. Our publication, La Voz de Aztlan, has already had a taste of things to come from racist hatemongers on the Internet. Their numerous threats through e-mail that we better "shut our website down" because we are terrorists is only a small example of the bigger dangers to our freedom of speech, expression and of the press we face. They are using the "fear" that has been generated by the media to try to silence us. They are telling us that soon they will be knocking on our doors if we do not shut down our website. They are citing the new Executive Order by the president. It is an example of ignorant people who do not realize that the U.S. Constitution overrides any Executive Order by a president, but unfortunately, ignorance and fear is very dangerous. They have stated to us that they will take it upon themselves to enforce the new anti-terrorist laws. This is what we mean that "fear" is waging a war against "freedom". It is a war that if "fear" wins, it will mean the end of the U.S.A. as we know it.
