Bush Faces an "Annus Horribilis" in 2003

Los Angeles, Alta California - January 6, 2002 - (ACN) Global as well as domestic problems are rapidly mounting on the Bush Administration and are threatening to turn 2003 into an "annus horribilis" for the presidency. Escalating world crises and serious economic, political and social problems at home can easily combine to cause the defeat of the president in the 2004 elections.

Among the most "explosive" of the foreign situations are the Israeli occupation of Palestine, the impending war against Iraq, nuclear proliferation led by North Korea, continuing and unresolved problems in Afghanistan, increasing defiance by South American countries, trade and immigration problems with Mexico and the renewed tensions between Pakistan and India. Any of these world problems have the great potential of derailing the Bush presidency.

Three of the above world problems are already having serious repercussions domestically. The "Israeli Problem" has cost the USA dearly both in terms of the immense "hemorrhaging" of taxpayer funds and in terms of the animosity the USA has earned globally for its support of Israel and the Zionist state's atrocities against the Palestinians. Today, the US Congress will most probably approve $12 Billion dollars more in foreign aid to Israel at a time when huge US corporations and state governments, like California's, are in total bankruptcy. The $12 Billion is above the $4 Billion in military aid Israel has already received last year from USA taxpayers. The total amount the Zionist state has received from USA taxpayers in now over 1.3 Trillion since 1948. The control the powerful Zionist Lobby has on the federal purse strings is generating significant anti-semitism that can easily escalate into serious racial divisions between Jews and economically disenfranchised Blacks, Chicanos and poor Whites.

The "almost sure" war that will occur against Iraq will prove disastrous for the Bush Administration if the USA military machine gets stuck in Baghdad for a longer time than anticipated. It will not be as easy to conquer Iraq, and take its oil resources, as the Pentagon warmongers are making it out to be. Two days before Christmas, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld said that the United States has the military might to wage war against Iraq and North Korea simultaneously, but we must remember that the USA was defeated in the last war by little old Vietnam. It is very doubtful that the USA Armed Forces can take on two countries in two regions so far apart and especially while they are already in a quagmire in Afghanistan. Also, we must not forget all those other countries that are angry at the USA because of Israel.

Domestically, an all out war against Iraq will cause major political, economical and social problems and especially if the involuntary military draft is re-instituted. The Bush Administration is underestimating the degree of anti-war sentiment among the American populace and the potential problems its mobilization will cause. The American citizenry is increasingly becoming aware of what is really "fueling" the Bush Administration's, and their Zionist cohorts', wars of conquest. In Afghanistan, the US has forgotten about Bin Laden and is now busy implementing the old plans to build the much sought after oil and gas pipelines to the Indian Ocean. This multi-billion dollar project will be easily accomplished now that a "friendly regime" has been installed. Once the "body bags" or "refrigerated coffins" start coming back from the war zones in significant numbers, American fathers, mothers and spouses will lose their willingness to shed their loved ones blood for the purpose of enriching Bush and his cronies.

The Bush Administration's exclusive focus against Islam and other Israeli made issues has had dire consequences here in our Western Hemisphere. There is increasing discontentment emerging among many Central and South American countries that can result in a strong "Simon Bolivar" type unity against the "yankees".

Most of these problems are economic and, as in Argentina, due to the overwhelming burden of the external national debts owed to international money lenders, most notably the "International Monetary Fund" and the "World Bank" which are controlled by International Zionists. There is an increasing revolutionary fervor among the poor in Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Brazil and in Mexico. In Venezuela presently there is a violent struggle between the working classes and the US supported "elites" for control of the country's vast oil resources. So far, President Hugo Chavez and his mostly poor supporters are having the upper hand. The newly elected Leftist president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, has joined in a coalition with Hugo Chavez and Dr. Fidel Castro Ruz of Communist Cuba.

In Mexico, last month, a group of "campesinos" attacked the Mexican Congress causing the stampede of about 38 "diputados" (congressmen) into a pile as they were attempting to climb a security fence to safety. Also, last month, a group of Mexican workers "expropriated" a US factory in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua after the Jewish maquiladora owners were attempting to "pack up" and leave without paying back wages and Christmas bonuses. The ongoing collapse of the maquiladora industry in Mexico is causing increased flow of migrant workers into the US at a time when racist anti-migrant vigilante militias are becoming increasingly more violent on this side of the border. This can culminate in a bloody border war that could involve the millions of Mexican-Americans now residing as legal residents and citizens of the US Southwest. Also, it is estimated that over 40% of all US Marines are now Mexican-Americans. If the US Marines are in the war zone in Iraq or in another part of the world, and a US/Mexico border war breaks out against the "vigilantes", it could greatly diminish the desire of Mexican-American US Marines to fight diligently or follow military orders.

An event that could definitely turn 2003 into an "annus horribilis" for Bush Jr., would be another 911 terrorist type attack on the homeland. This would be worse if all the troops are away fighting in Iraq or against another Islamic country on behalf of Israel. There is fear among security experts that some major US cities are vulnerable to the explosion of an atomic device. Cities such as New York and Los Angeles, which have large Jewish populations, have been mentioned. On November 14, the Brazilian journalist Pepe Escobar wrote in the Hong Kong based Asian Times that "Seven nuclear heads have already been positioned in seven of America's major cities and they are ready to be detonated." The report caused quite a lot of controversy and the Asian Times promptly removed it from their website stating that it was a "hoax". If US troops are fighting in a foreign war, and nuclear bombs are detonated in the homeland, it could have devastating affects in their morale knowing that their families back home could be already dead.

Will 2003 be an "annus horribilis" for President Bush culminating in his defeat for re-election in 2004? From what is being reported in the mainstream media concerning the large military mobilizations of US Armed Forces units in the Middle East, it looks like it will. In fact it looks like it will be an "annus horribilis" for the entire nation and perhaps the year chosen by future historians as the year when the great USA empire began its irreversible collapse.
