Pentagon blocks YouTube and other popular websites

Youtube and certain other websites are now off limits to military personnel serving abroad. The Pentagon will begin blocking access worldwide to YouTube, MySpace and 11 other websites starting today said General B.B. Bell. Many GI's in Iraq and Afghanistan depend on MySpace to keep in touch with friends and family members and on YouTube to learn about the true nature of the Iraq War and the war against Islam in general.

La Voz de Aztlan has experienced similar blocking of our e-bulletins to soldiers serving in Iraq. We have over the years established communications with soldiers serving in Iraq. These soldiers, mostly of Mexican descent, are interested in being informed about what is occurring in our community, especially concerning the minutemen vigilantes and other hate groups. We now can not send our news bulletins to domains ending with .mil Many GI's have resorted to subscribing to La Voz de Aztlan utilizing yahoo.com and other free e-mail services. We have not been able to determine if the Pentagon is blocking the entire domain Aztlan.Net or just our e-mail services.

The Pentagon does not want well informed soldiers with knowledge of world issues. They want blind obedience and certain websites pose a challenge to their indoctrination. The Pentagon finds it easier to just block certain websites that disseminate information they can not refute.
