La Voz de AztlanLos Angeles, Alta California - 6/2/2002 - (ACN) A top ranking "bomb expert" in the the Los Angeles Police Department as well as two others from the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department spent a number of unspecified days in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv to train on how to deal with "suicide bombers". Ralph Morten, an LAPD specialist on terrorism and organizer of the training mission in Israel said, "We need to be ready".
The LAPD terrorist expert said they were taken to a Jerusalem mall three times to observe IDF preventive techniques. They were taught by the Israelis how to identify suspicious people or vehicles and how to keep them from entering the mall. Also, they were taught how to identify suspicious people already inside the mall.
Jews in the Los Angeles area have been talking a lot lately about the inevitability of suicide bombings. It almost seems as if they are inviting them. There is a fear among non-Jews here that some fake "suicide missions" may be staged as is done often in Israel in order for the Zionists to obtain political advantage, to justify extreme repressive measures and to turn America even more against Islam.
"I think we are going to see suicide bombings here in the U.S., and Los Angeles is at the top of the list as a possible target," said California State University at San Bernardino terrorism expert Brian Levin. Mr. Brian Levin, a Jew, is Director of the University's Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism. Levin said Los Angeles is a target not only because of its size but because of its high Jewish population.
Most of the Jews in Los Angeles live in West L.A., Encino and in the Fairfax district. Last week there was a huge explosion in a large apartment complex in Encino that sent jitters throughout the large Jewish community of the area. Encino was the hometown of assassinated Wall Street Journalist Daniel Pearl.
Recently, very heavy security has been implemented in the Century City Shopping Mall were many affluent Jews do their shopping. The mall has a parking structure underneath that makes it very vulnerable to a small truck or car bomb. The mall is next to well known Beverly Hills High School, Beverly Hills Country Club and world famous Rodeo Drive. East Los Angeles, where most Mexican-Americans live, is in the opposite part of town.
