"Talking Points" when calling
KABC Hate Radio advertisers1. Most important is to be calm and courteous.
2. Call the toll free numbers during regular business hours, preferably in the morning
3. When the business representative answers the phone, ask to speak with the owner or the manager of the business. Most likely the business representative will ask you about the nature of the call. Say something like this: "Your business advertises on KABC radio in Los Angeles and we are boycotting your company because of their anti-Mexican programming!"
4. Step 3 above should catch their attention. Wait for the business representative's response. Most likely it would be a sales person. He or she might transfer you to a responsible manager. Explain that you are a member of the "STOP Anti-Mexican Hate Radio Coalition" and are concerned that the constant hate propaganda over KABC radio will result in more hate crimes against Mexican immigrants and Mexican-Americans. Emphasise that it is not good for their business to support hate radio and that they should consider not advertising on KABC. Make sure you let them know that you, your family and friends will not be buying their products or services until they either drop KABC or KABC mitigates its anti-Mexican hate broadcasting.
5. If the business representative or manager wants more details, you are welcome to refer them to to our article, "Disney KABC Radio in Los Angeles Targets Mexicans" published at http://www.aztlan.net/kabc_hate_radio.htm
