The New Mexika Movement
(me-shee-ka)

The new Mexika movement of the 21st Century must come from the dedication, efforts, and sacrifice of the younger generation. It is all about power. Power means freedom, and freedom means power.

Conditions are not any better for us than they were thirty years ago. They are definitely worse. It does not take a genius to see the barrios, the housing projects, and our antiquated school systems to realize that all of this desolate wasteland is what has been set aside for Mexicanos in America. We are living in an American nightmare in spite of the fact that our so-called leaders think that all is well. They have led us to believe that we are a part of the American dream, while we live and learn on Desolation Row, and all our dreams for ourselves and our children turn to regrets. No one has benefited from this oppressive standard of living, except these so-called leaders. They periodically visit our neighborhoods and beguile our people to vote for a Democratic or Republican candidate. Neither party is going to do for us what we must do for ourselves. The students and youth of tomorrow must determine and control our own political destiny.

We must not make the same mistakes that we have in the past. It is for this reason that the 21st Century Cultural Revolution is being formulated, drafted, and will eventually be shared with our people in Aztlan and our Holy Land.

If we as a race or people are to arrive and have a political impact, which all of America knows will eventually happen, we must first determine once and for all who we are, where we came from, and where we are going.

Our history, which has been systematically denied by this country, reveals unequivocally that we are not Latinos, Hispanics, or Mexican-Americans. History throughout the world reveals that at any time another race and/or another government decides what you will be called, it indicates conclusively who the slaves are, and who the masters are. Please take note that every decade this government decides what to call us. Recently, everyone has jumped on the bandwagon of the label "Latinos." Only when we accept our true history, our true culture, and our true ancient sacred spirituality, will we be able to overcome this mode of darkness and oppression that has made our lives miserable.

We are the new Mexika of the 21st Century. We are the new movement--The Rising of the Sixth Sun. The new Mexika will eventually overcome the self-hatred, jealousy, and greed which our so-called leaders have exemplified and preached to our people for the last 20 years.

Ramiro R. Muniz - Tezcatlipoca

"The point is not that I have been captured. The point is that I have never surrendered."

"In the FUTURE our Mexika PAST will be PRESENT."

Arrival of the Sixth Sun

Our harmony and power have not lessened in spite of this mode of darkness. It has increased, and no external force can overcome the beauty and intensity of our Ome. Even during these times that people mistakenly celebrate for the wrong reasons, we, the Mexika of the Sixth Sun accept and embrace with our true and pure hearts that Ome is the ancient spiritual Nahuatl master mind and harmonious alliance of two or more native minds. The Nahuatl method does not regard as important that which seems durable yet begins to die away, but rather that which may NOT seem durable, though arising and developing, for the Nahuatl method considers invincible only that which is arising and developing. Therefore, I say that in this century that which matters to a Mexika of the Sixth Sun is arriving at the totality of one's self.

In Nahuatl thought, Tezcatlipoca and Quetzalcoatl equal a love supreme. Ome is like that. Che Guevara once said, "At the risk of seeming ridiculous, I would like to say that that a true revolutionary is guided by strong feelings of love." Only the oppressor is hateful and lacks in human understanding.

The visions are clear. Mexika of the Sixth Sun are arising and developing. Announce to the world that we, as a nation, have risen! We, the Mexika of the 21st Century, celebrate the arrival and prophecy of the Sixth Sun. We celebrate the true meaning of human spirituality, love, Ome, vemmana, and the warmth of the heart that comes within the Rising of the Sixth Sun! Yes, we celebrate and rejoice with the world, with our brothers and sisters from the Holy Land (Mexico) that we have risen! Even in the darkest dungeons of this society the world knows that I don' practice magic. I have been destined, however, to interpret the prophecy from signs, our ancient scriptures, symbols, writings, and dreams. Yes, through my dreams and visions speak the voices of the forgotten past. Now is the voice of our discovered future -- The Rising of the Sixth Sun. The Rising of the Sixth Sun must be allowed to take its rightful place in the universal balance. No one - not even this oppressor that has enslaved our people for 500 years can detain the coming of The Rising of the Sixth Sun. Anyone who tampers with it will severely trouble the balance within all the hearts and chance catastrophe for the planet and nation of Aztlan.

Rejoice, and share with all that the time has come. We have risen!

Love is All There Is

Love is all there is that makes la raza Nahuatl. We know that in Mexika culture love is that condition in which the happiness of a Mexika is essential to your own. The will of Tezatlilpoca is that of Nahuatl understanding and inspiration, because being Nahuatl is dying by loving.

I am the one. I divide for love's sake - - for the cause of Mexi. Mexi is the way of the Mexika. Mexi reveals the true meaning of compassion, love, generosity, self-denial, and the right action as the means of attaining Mexika ancient spiritual inspiration.

Ramsey R. Muniz - Tezcatlipoca

"Never will it be lost, never will it be forgotten -- that which they came to do. Thus, in the future, never will it perish, never will it be forgotten. Always we will treasure it. We who carry their blood and color. We will read it, we will pass it on to those who do not yet live, who are to be born -- the children of the Mexika -- the children of the Tenochkans." From Darkness to Light

Through the concrete walls, over the distance of miles, I could vividly see your heart as it pounded with the courage, strength and passion for my heart. The ancient gods and the Creator who gave us our name, were pleased with your boldness and faith in life. He knew that we, as a race, would suffer in slavery and would be confined in this medieval oppression and hatred.

In the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, signed in 1848, the United States seized, by force, the states of Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Utah, Nevada, and California. The terms were "among the harshest imposed by a winner upon a loser in the history of the world." Abraham Lincoln named this entire episode for what it really was - - armed robbery. Tell me, 21st Century Mexika, who the illegal aliens are.

I remain confined in these cold underground dungeons, with the spirit and love of our ancient ancestors, knowing that at one time, this earth that covers me was part of our creation and civilization. Our ancient spirituality penetrates the cement and reaches my soul, as it once reached the mind and soul (Mexicayotl) of my brother, Ricardo Flores Magon. When I spoke with fellow Mexika about our forefathers having been rulers of this land, one could feel the spirits lift the mist and darkness from our eyes and minds.

It's called destiny. Legacy has it that those who were destined would bring about the Rising of the Sixth Sun. When the last prince died, he stated, "I fight with my life and heart, knowing that I will die but must sacrifice my life because future generations - those not even born - would know that one day the Rising of the Sixth Sun shall come."

During my prayers, rituals and dreams, I have many visions. As I gaze into the heart of Aztlan, the faces and hearts of our people are in helpless darkness. Only in the heart of our ancient sacred spirituality can we look for strength and enlightenment. If we can keep the soul of our raza in touch with the heart of Aztlan, then new blood will instill strength and consciousness in our souls. We will resist until the words of the forgotten begin to walk. We will struggle until the silence of the silent ones speak. We are still here. We continue to be here. We will not surrender.

Another vision that I have received is that we, the chosen Mexika of the 21st Century, must never give up. We must never give up, regardless of the odds against us. It was meant to be this way!

Our true meaning is to assist our raza in the aim of life. They are afraid of themselves nowadays. Courage has left our race. We must give "Ome" to every feeling, expression to every thought, and reality to every dream!

Do not worry about me. I am strong. I'm a true believer. I'm firm. I am the Mexika of the Rising of the Sixth Sun. Watch me rise!

We are rising! Raza, wake up! The time has come, and we are rising!

A Message for the 21st Century

by
Ramsey R. Muņiz - Tezcatlipoca

Remember lost friends,
lost from each other
lost from themselves
we must not forget who we are
or from whom we came.
It's our destiny - -
our life's blood (mauizotl).

I extend my Nahuatl Millennium greetings to la raza in our occupied homeland. We are at the heights of the heart of Aztlan as we enter the new Millennium. We are the roots of a movement. We will be the history of this movement. It is not a movement to free me, Tezcatlipoca, but to provide liberation for our people. It is revealed that our raza is born into prison. Everyone of us are sentenced to life from the moment we open our eyes without the liberation of the Sixth Sun in our hearts.

It is our tonalli (destiny) to act in the 21st Century. We must create. Let us learn from our ancestral temple builders. Let us continue their interrupted work. Let us perform, in the course of xochiyaoyotl, and use our ancient spiritual supremacy to wrest all political power from the chiefs of "unfaith" to build a Nahuatl state that may serve as a frontline in the struggle of re-educating ourselves politically for the coming Millennium.

We are not Republicans, nor are we Democrats. We are Mexika. Let the chiefs of "unfaith" tremble at our Mexicayotl holy struggle. We, have nothing to lose but our credit cards. We have a holy land to win. Aztlan sera libre para siempre.

Brothers and sisters, be strong. Even in this cold mode of darkness, the visions are clear as I suffer in silence. The question is not when The Rising of the Sixth Sun will happen. It is here! Yes, it is here, and we who are destined must fulfill the prophecies for those before us, and for those not yet born. We are responsible for removing self-hatred, ignorance, jealousy, and oppression from the hearts and minds of our people.

Remember that we of the 21st Century are Mexika - - of the part which at first was ALL - - the part of the darkness that gave birth to light. Nothing is hard for us when we dare to scale the heights of humanity.

Even in these inhumane prisons of oppression, I have long aspired to reach the greatest heights. I come from Mictlan. Aztlan will not fall again. Wind and thunder are stirring. Flags and banners are flying wherever the Mexika of the Sixth Sun live.

Xolotl's ultimate sacrifice made the entire universe come to know that the Mexika yet to come were to be the single, most threatening political conception in the universe. Xolotl and I are 21st Century Mexika visionaries. Other manifestations of Mexi are not unknown to us, for Tlaloc is the thunder and Ehecatl is wind and Ocelopan is our flag, and Titlacoan the Tohuenio is our banner, and Tezcatlipoca is the heights, and Quetzalcoatl the Nacxitl is Sendero Luminoso. Cihuacoatl is Tania, and we'll return amid triumph of song and laughter.

We of the Sixth Sun are the Nahuatl world. In the 21st Century we do not use "cowboy logic." We use Nahuatl logic. We stir raza consciousness, Mexicayotl, among the Mexika. Mexika will respond to our call for raza political action, because they are forced to a consciousness of raza responsibility.

I know the great hardness of la raza in whose cause I suffer in silence. It gives me strength, because I would not be in prison if la raza were free.

My sisters, you are women of the 21st Century who know that the welfare of la raza demands sacrifice. You also know that the evils which are ravaging our civilization will never be removed until society recognizes that the true leaders of this society, who will bring about liberation, justice, and harmony, are women.

The prophecies are fulfilled. The air trembles, the eagle and serpent triumph upon a red sun. It is Tezcatlipoca, "El Espejo de los Destinos," coming back to live among his people.

I am Ome, harmony, and power -- so determined and powerful with ancient spiritual visions, and guided by strong feelings of love. Being Mexika is the greatest destiny in my life. It is a far better thing than I have ever done before. Everything else is material.

Love for love's sake, that we might love forever. When love enters, the whole spiritual constitution of a Mexika changes. His form is altered, and filled with our ancient spirituality.

Dear Friends:
Enclosed you will find a copy of a speech given in December. It was with the highest honor for me to convey the spiritual thoughts and ideas of my husband, Tezcatlipoca.

Mexika into the 21st Century

by
Irma Muņiz-Citlamina

I am honored to be here at Coffee Group, and I want to thank Connie Gutierrez for allowing me to bring this message to the community. Let me start by saying that just 3 days ago I visited with my husband Ramsey Muniz - Tezcatlipoca. He maintains his belief that we as a people, as a raza, and eventually as a nation, will provide the leadership necessary to carry the hearts and minds of our people into the 21st century - - politically, idealistically, culturally, and spiritually. I know, and those of you who know Ramsey ALSO know that he will never compromise his principles, beliefs or convictions pertaining to the freedom, justice, and land of our people.

The subject that I am presenting today is one which is quickly gaining popularity. It pertains to our indigenous history, our indigenous culture, and our ancient sacred spirituality. We have recently seen historians, scholars, professors, activists, political prisoners and others take great interest in the ancient history and culture of our people. From Kingsville, Dr. Miguel Leatham speaks of the new Mexika movement. (See October 18th article from the Corpus Christi Caller Times). Dr. Ward Albro, also of Texas A & M University in Kingsville, recently wrote a book about Ricardo Flores Magon. Raul Garcia, a Corpus Christi native and philosophy professor at Southwest Texas University, is writing a book called The Rising of the Sixth Sun. David Carrazco, professor at Princeton University, recently wrote a book entitled Quetzalcoatl. Rodolfo Anaya, a scholar and author from California, recently stated during an interview for Hispanic Magazine, that after all these years he has arrived at the self-realization that what has no past for our people can have no future. Most importantly, I recently received email from John Mini, author of Day of Destiny. Mini is a renown scholar and expert on our ancient culture, history, and spirituality.

When we hear reference to the Fifth Sun, we know that reference is being made to a period of time. Ancient manuscripts indicate that during different periods of time, civilizations existed and eventually ended with the formation of another civilization. Our ancient writings reveal the formation and transformation of five suns.

It was during the Fifth Sun that the Aztecs received their name from their mythological homeland - Aztlan. Many modern scholars and anthropologists claim that Aztlan includes the entire Southwestern part of this country: Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, California.

Roughly 2,000 years ago, seven tribes began a long, uncertain trek in search of their promised land, just as the Israelites were known to have searched for their promised land. These families, with little possessions, but with tremendous will, departed Aztlan and began the long journey south through the Northern Meso-American desert.

These seven tribes emerged from Aztlan at different intervals, and one of those tribes was the Aztecs. They wandered the desert and were to enter the valley of Mexico(the area of Mexico City), and entered the kingdom once inhabited by the noble Toltecs. The Toltecs were the originators of the humanities, the arts, and the sciences. To be Toltec was to be civilized, urban, knowledgeable in the arts, and cultured. It was here, that the Aztecs found comfort after a long and hazardous journey across the merciless desert sun, where they would begin their own legacies of heritage and culture. They were the last to leave Aztlan, and therefore the last to enter the valley of Mexico. Freshly out of the desert, they were considered foreigners to others long established along the ancient lakes of Central Mexico.

During their wandering in the desert, the Aztecs had become confused and almost forgot their meaning. Their tribe was split in beliefs and priorities. They found their mission and their destiny, when God spoke to their high priest, saying that from this point on, they were to be named Mexikhan. Mexi, means God, and Khan means people. The Aztecs, then, became Mexikhan - - people of God.

Under this divine command for their new name, the Mexika entered the valley of Mexico and soon controlled all the land. It was to remain that way until the end of the Fifth Sun - - when the destroyers of our paradise came into existence - - the Spanish invasion.

With the destruction of the Fifth Sun on August 13, 1521, the Mexika were forced back into the harsh reality of the desert, once again wandering in search of Aztlan, their promised land, their origin, and identity.

Our last king, Cuauhtemoc, made a profound mandate on the last day of the Fifth Sun (Aug. 13, 1521). He stood on the temple of Hichichpotzli, and stated, "Hide the sun within your homes and hearts until the time comes to reveal it once again. The treasure that the Spaniards heard of was not gold, but the wisdom and spiritual tradition of our people - our sacred ancient way of life." We, the new Mexika, must honor and fulfill that indigenous, spiritual mandate.

Cuauhtemoc also stated that generations not even born yet would seek a new sun. With that in mind, it is my destiny to reveal the memory and realization of the ancient message, finally in fulfillment. We refer to this as The Rising of the Sixth Sun. John Mini states that the time has come, and that we as a people must fulfill the prophecies.

We define The Rising of the Sixth Sun as the awakening of our consciousness. This brings us to a movement where we must go beyond the spirits of resistance, and now embrace a spirit of creation.

Our final freedom will be the recognition that everything in every movement is essential in the reformation of our spiritual awakening. Everything that occurs - - whether in the past, present or future, is the outward manifestation of our innermost thoughts, choices, ideas, and determination of self-awareness.

What is our mission as it pertains to the Sixth Sun? The responsibility of bringing our universe into harmony lies with us. In the 21st Century, we must know the meaning of the Sixth Sun by recognizing and accepting the spiritual people that we were, and will be again. We will fulfill the prophecies with The Rising of the Sixth Sun, and we will never be defeated again!
